This is a 1955 midcentury traditional house in Sacramento, California. The land was part of a former olive glen before becoming a cul-de-sac in the suburban community of Arden Arcade.Stately in appearance, this cottage retains much of its original architectural features: millwork, oak hardwood floors, redwood-vaulted ceiling, and brick masonry. At the heart of the house, a towering fireplace soars to the roof, providing the living room with a sense of spaciousness.Outside, perennials outline the perimeter and flank the base of its olive trees. Inside, every room provides a stunning garden view. This is a house that lives in harmony with nature.The property developers were so fond of this neighborhood they chose to live in this cul-de-sac of enchanting homes. With that came a standard of craftsmanship for a new American West post-war.Today it is a place to call home for families in transition or visiting professionals.
